Full of fun, wit and wisdom but forever dedicated to the job – that has always been the way of the Lahinch caddie, without whom the game in this golfing paradise would never be quite the same. Our caddies are an integral part of the Club and a large number became very fine players in their own right. Their deep knowledge is much appreciated by the many visitors who might otherwise find the links something of a mystery.
Lahinch is a classic seaside links golf course and players are asked to enjoy their game by walking the course. We strongly recommend that all visiting golfers engage the services of a caddie so as to add to the experience and assist with pace of play.
All visitors golfing before 9.00am will be required to engage caddies or a forecaddie for the group.
Caddies are generally available at Lahinch and visitors are advised to pre-book caddies through the office or Caddy master.
Caddies at Lahinch are independent contractors. Caddie fees and any gratuity should be paid directly to the caddie. Payment of a gratuity is optional and is solely at the discretion of the golfer.
Feedback on caddie performance is welcomed and can be directed to the Caddy-master or General Manager.
The Old Course is a walking course and golf carts/buggies are not available for hire. However, visitors with a medically certified ailment may be facilitated, once the required documentation is forwarded and agreed in advance with the club office. Please call us for more details.
Pull carts are available to hire at €5 each while a limited number of battery operated trolleys are available at €15 each. Pre-booking is advisable.
