Darren Clarke won the South of Ireland Championship at Lahinch in 1990. He won the Open Championship at Royal Sandwich in 2011. He represented Europe in the Ryder Cup 5 times.   He played on the Irish International Amateur team that won the Home Intenationals at Lahinch in 1987.
